Name and Purpose
 

The Dover Alumni Chapter,  Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, initiated a scholarship to assist the sons, daughters, step-sons, step-daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, nephews, and nieces of sustaining members of Dover Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited four-year college or university.  The scholarship is based on academic achievement, aptitude, leadership, character, and financial need.  The amount of the scholarship is determined by the size of the scholarship fund.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must:

1. Be a high school graduate during the year of the award

2. Be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university.

3. Submit a letter explaining your goals and why you should be considered for this scholarship.

4. Complete the application and financial need form.  The application and financial need form are below Scholarship Chairman address.  Please submit financial need form to doveralumnikappas @gmail.com.

5. Submit an official transcript which includes class rank, grade point average (GPA) , and SAT or ACT scores.

6. Submit two letters of reference from people who can attest to your academic abilities and your character.  One letter MUST be from the sustaining member of Dover Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., who is directly related to the applicant as indicated above.

All scholarship application materials must be postmarked by April 10th and received on or before April 15th in order to be considered.  E-mailed scholarship materials must be sent on or before April 15th.
